ReplyDeleteanything by Chris Crutcher--my favorite is Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes, but Whale Talk is a close second. some swearing, but I didn't find it excessive.
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, you've probably already read this.
Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick--short, very fast read. I think I read it in an hour.
