First I'd like to say that I really love InGroup. They don't send me amazing books all the time, but they've never sent me one that I absolutely hated. If you haven't joined, you should.

I read this book for my AP English class. It was bearable, but never something I would have read of my own free will. That's all I'm gonna say.

I really liked this book. I wasn't too thrilled with the first Kiki Strike because I thought it was just trying to put too much into one novel, but this one was great. It stuck with one storyline, had a great exposition and rising action, and the whole time I was wrapped up in the story much more than I was with the first one.

The ending drove me crazy! That's a horrible way to end a book! (I don't mean the ending was horrible, it was just nerve-wracking).

Really good. It's worth reading the first one so you can read this one. And the first one's really not that bad.

So I've finally been looking through all of my feeds and I've discovered I've been tagged for a bunch of memes. I love memes! I just usually don't notice when I've been tagged. I'd love to do it, but with end of school madness still going on (thank goodness the play is over at least) I don't have time to search them all out.

Wow. Things are really crazy here. As of Tuesday we were cancelling the show because we were NOT performance worthy. But I gave the actors one more shot at impressing me yesterday and they did. It wasn't fantastic, but it was performance-able.

Then it all fell apart today (and we open today). One of the actresses came and told me that she can't do the show because she has a dance recital! And then my drama teacher (who I think is fantastic) ran out of the room during class because she was about to cry over all the stress. She has to build the sets and run almost every fine artsy thing that goes on in the school.

Anyway. I'll have to play that one girl's part tonight. I didn't mean to mope or rant here, but it just feels better to type it out, ya know?

We gotta buy our drama teacher some flowers. She deserves them.

I probably won't be able to post much over the next week. It's the opening night of my play and we've got A LOT of preparing to do. Costumes, set, and my actors still need to memorize! C'mon guys!

That may sound a bit shallow, but it's true. This evening I got to meet the lovely Sarah O'Leary Burningham and it was absolutely delightful. I'm afraid I was a little bit deer-in-headlights-ish, but it was a wonderful encounter. You'll be hearing more about her as soon as I finish her book: How to Raise Your Parents.

Good times to be had by all. :)
