I like authors who like me

That may sound a bit shallow, but it's true. This evening I got to meet the lovely Sarah O'Leary Burningham and it was absolutely delightful. I'm afraid I was a little bit deer-in-headlights-ish, but it was a wonderful encounter. You'll be hearing more about her as soon as I finish her book: How to Raise Your Parents.

Good times to be had by all. :)

  1. No, that's not at all shallow. I, too, like authors who like me. It's always so happily surprising when an author likes me, it's like this lovely shock.

  2. "Good times to be had by all."

You stole that phrase from Shannon.

    You... you phrase-stealer, you.

    *glare*

Also, I like it, too. Another reason I like Shannon so much. :D

  4. Erin: Oh thanks, so good to know I'm not shallow. :)

Celes: I know I stole that phrase from Shannon, hence the smiley face after it. Duh. ;)

M: It most certainly does count.

I tagged you for a meme. Do it if you want to, when you have time.

  6. ooh...you're so lucky. No authors come to my town. And no, I don't think it's shallow to like authors who like you.

Anyway, I MEMED you! You don't have to do it if you don't want to though.
