UK Shannon Hale Covers

You may have noticed that I like abstract covers compared to realistic covers, which is why I was so happy when I discovered these:

I think my favorites are the Enna Burning cover and the Book of a Thousand Days cover. Of course, those also happen to be my favorite books.

Naturally, though, I much prefer the original EB and B1000 covers. I prefer all the original covers. But I like these better than the photographs.
Which one do you like best? Y'all think I should have a contest giving one of these away?

  1. I love these covers! I'm there with you on preferring the original covers. I'm not such a fan of photograph covers in general. It forces me to picture the character according to how he/she looks on the cover. Though I like the Twilight films, when I read the books I don't picture those actors and actresses as the characters in my imagination.
Who is the illustrator for these UK Shannon Hale book covers?

  3. Absolutely. But these covers would be great for a younger audience. THe cover, detail and almost overstimulation of the design is really cute.

  5. Wow, I've never seen these! I think it's too childish and too bright, not that mature, but they look beautiful and younger children would freak over these covers!

  9. I love the original ones, with the mosaic-y patterns. Not the ones with the faces. I like these, but I feel as if they are too vague and too similar to one another

  10. I like the first three best. But they're ALL preferable to photo-covers.
