UK Shannon Hale Covers
You may have noticed that I like abstract covers compared to realistic covers, which is why I was so happy when I discovered these:
I think my favorites are the Enna Burning cover and the Book of a Thousand Days cover. Of course, those also happen to be my favorite books.
I think my favorites are the Enna Burning cover and the Book of a Thousand Days cover. Of course, those also happen to be my favorite books.
Naturally, though, I much prefer the original EB and B1000 covers. I prefer all the original covers. But I like these better than the photographs.
Which one do you like best? Y'all think I should have a contest giving one of these away?
I love these covers! I'm there with you on preferring the original covers. I'm not such a fan of photograph covers in general. It forces me to picture the character according to how he/she looks on the cover. Though I like the Twilight films, when I read the books I don't picture those actors and actresses as the characters in my imagination.
ReplyDeleteWho is the illustrator for these UK Shannon Hale book covers?
Hm... I can't seem to be able to find it... If I buy one, I'll let you know. :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. But these covers would be great for a younger audience. THe cover, detail and almost overstimulation of the design is really cute.
ReplyDeleteCOol, I never saw those before:]
ReplyDeleteWow, I've never seen these! I think it's too childish and too bright, not that mature, but they look beautiful and younger children would freak over these covers!
ReplyDeleteI love these covers!!! I have been thinking about reading Shannon Hale for a while but have never gotten around to it. Now these are out I will definitely be looking for these this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteWhich one would you suggest reading first?
Thanks
Read The Goose Girl first, handsdown. No question.
ReplyDeleteThen The Goose Girl is where I will start
ReplyDeleteThanks
I love the original ones, with the mosaic-y patterns. Not the ones with the faces. I like these, but I feel as if they are too vague and too similar to one another
ReplyDeleteI like the first three best. But they're ALL preferable to photo-covers.
ReplyDeleteAwww these are pretty covers. Hmmm I wonder if they'll come here because I'll def. hold off on buying these books until I find these covers...YAY.
ReplyDeleteI really like all of them. It reminds me of Sarah Dessen's UK covers. I like those ones too :D
ReplyDeleteNo need to hold off! You can buy them at www.TheBookDepository.com

Those books are so pretty. I would want to read them just because of the beautiful covers.
