And thus my will cracked and shattered with a pronounced TWEET!

I have noticed that tweeting and blogging go hand in hand. For many many moons I have denied the fact that I even had a Twitter account. But now I am embracing it.

I'm not going to keep you posted on what I'm eating for breakfast, or what the weather is like. But I do hope to give little shout-outs about contests, author signings, and book releases/announcements.

That's it. It's going to be purely book related. That's IT.

And now I am going to say it.*deep breath*

I am on twitter. Will you be my friend?

Toads and Diamonds
By Heather Tomlinson

Diribani has come to the village well to get water for her family's scant meal of curry and rice. She never expected to meet a goddess there. Yet she is granted a remarkable gift: Flowers and precious jewels drop from her lips whenever she speaks.

It seems only right to Tana that the goddess judged her kind, lovely stepsister worthy of such riches. And when she encounters the goddess, she is not surprised to find herself speaking snakes and toads as a reward.

Blessings and curses are never so clear as they might seem, however. Diribani’s newfound wealth brings her a prince—and an attempt on her life. Tana is chased out of the village because the province's governor fears snakes, yet thousands are dying of a plague spread by rats. As the sisters' fates hang in the balance, each struggles to understand her gift. Will it bring her wisdom, good fortune, love . . . or death?

Enna Isilee's note: SO excited to get this one!

Birthmarked
Caragh M O'Brien
After climate change, on the north shore of Unlake Superior, a dystopian world is divided between those who live inside the wall, and those, like sixteen-year-old midwife Gaia Stone, who live outside. It’s Gaia’s job to “advance” a quota of infants from poverty into the walled Enclave, until the night one agonized mother objects, and Gaia’s parents are arrested.

Badly scarred since childhood, Gaia is a strong, resourceful loner who begins to question her society. As Gaia’s efforts to save her parents take her within the wall, she herself is arrested and imprisoned.

Fraught with difficult moral choices and rich with intricate layers of codes, BIRTHMARKED explores a colorful, cruel, eerily familiar world where one girl can make all the difference, and a real hero makes her own moral code.

I'm Trella. I'm a scrub. A nobody. One of thousands who work the lower levels, keeping Inside clean for the Uppers. I've got one friend, do my job and try to avoid the Pop Cops. So what if I occasionally use the pipes to sneak around the Upper levels? Not like it's all that dangerous - the only neck I risk is my own. Until I accidently start a rebellion and become the go-to girl to lead a revolution. I should have just said no...

Enna Isilee's Note: I got this from my local Barnes and Noble last week(early, I guess). I'm SO excited to read it!

Shannon Hale Covers Part II-- Spanish Edition

I have a FABULOUS reader, Maria who saw my post on the fun UK Shannon Hale covers and she sent me these!

Aren't these EPIC? I love Love LOVE the Enna Burning cover! Even though I'm generally against people on covers, I just think it's so intense.

Thanks, Maria!

Here's just a bonus, the Princess Academy French edition. Don't like this cover.

Think Before You Post

Have you guys seen this? Creeeeepy. But I do agree with the message it's trying to convey.

UK Shannon Hale Covers

You may have noticed that I like abstract covers compared to realistic covers, which is why I was so happy when I discovered these:

I think my favorites are the Enna Burning cover and the Book of a Thousand Days cover. Of course, those also happen to be my favorite books.

Naturally, though, I much prefer the original EB and B1000 covers. I prefer all the original covers. But I like these better than the photographs.
Which one do you like best? Y'all think I should have a contest giving one of these away?
