Although most of the UBM celebration happens online, some of it actually takes place IN UTAH for REAL! Please come and join us for our summer social! Whether you're a blogger, author, or anything in between WE WANT TO SEE YOU! Here are the details:

Wines Park in Lehi*

Pavilion #3, SW corner

Bring a dessert to share; we'll provide plates/forks/napkins/cups/water. If you can, please consider bringing a gluten free dessert.
We'll be having a book swap again, so bring a book(s) to give away!
You may also want to bring chairs and blankets for sitting on the grass.

*From I-15, take Lehi Main Street Exit. Turn west onto Main Street (toward Lehi Roller Mills). Turn right onto 100 East. Turn left onto 500 North.

Utah Book Month! Review a Utah Book!

It's the official start of Utah Book Month! In case it isn't obvious from the title, it's a month-long celebration of all things bookish in Utah! If you want more details, you should go to the official website by clicking here!

As for me, I get to host an AWESOME mini challenge. I'm going to encourage you to read and review books by Utah authors! Here's how it works:

You review a book by a Utah author IN AUGUST (it can't be a review you've already done) and link to it using the Mister Linky below. Your links should look like this:

BOOK TITLE @ YOUR NAME/BLOG NAME

I will randomly select someone from the list to be entered to win any one of Shannon Hale's books, but above and beyond that for every book you review you get an extra entry into the grand giveaway! This is a huge giveaway sponsored by a bunch of publishers. It's all kinds of awesome. Click here for info on the grand giveaway.

Utah Book Month Sign-ups!

It's almost time for Utah Book Month! What is UBM, you ask? Well, it's a celebration of all things Bookish and Utah of course! We celebrate Utah's authors, aspiring writers, and book bloggers! And YOU can participate! There are so many different things you can do. If you're an author you can be interviewed or do a guest post, bloggers can host minichallenges and giveaways, interview another blogger, design a new cover, and that's just the first few things I thought of! There's SO much you can do. Anything you can think of! But in order to participate, you have to sign up! That's where this post comes into play.

Some things you should know:

If you are a blogger you do NOT have to live in Utah to participate, however, preference will be given to Utah bloggers.
If you are an author, you MUST live in Utah to participate (or have a purty darn good argument for why you're a Utah author)
The faster you sign up, the more likely you'll get your first choice of activity to host
The hosts of the event will be coordinating author contact. So if you select "author interview" don't go running off and e-mailing authors. We've got that covered and we'll get you in touch with them.
You have until 11:59pm on the 21st to sign up! That's only two weeks!
THIS IS THE SAME FORM ON ALL THE HOST BLOGS! There are five of us hosting the event this year, and you only need to fill out this form ONCE.
